There is always the change our lives. For instantance, when Saint Augustine was strolling in the garden,he had the sudden impulse to read Romans 13:11 that lead to change of his heart.
John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist, converted his heart after he finally understood the verse "The righteous will live by faith." After Paul heard the Lord''s voice on the way to Damascus he became revolutionist for Christ faith.
All of these people''s common question was "What shall I do, Lord?" after receving their salvation.

First, the meaning of this question is give up our self consciousness

The true meaning of Christianity is beginning a new life.
We first must put our old sinful nature behind us and start fresh to build a new life. But without giving up our self consciousness Christ can''t work in us.
When we think about Saul before becoming Paul,he had
everything that all men waanted. He was highly educated under Gamaliel, he was a Jew from the Benjamin tribe,he had strong political background, and he was a Roman citizen. But
after he found God, he realized that he was nothing but a sinner. He started in Philippians 3:8 "What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.

Secondly, the meaning of this question is ask the Lord for guidance.

The life that Saul led was of his own choosing until God called him. After he became a child of God he lived fruitful life
with his guidance. He cried out for God''s guidance every time he needed help.
All Christians should seek the Lord for guidance. Even when Christians fall under the shadow of darkness God always provides a way. We can choose our lives path but with God''s guidance our lives can be fruitful and prosperous.

Thirdly, the meaning of this question is surrendering all to God.
How beneficial it is to know we can bring our heavy burden, worries, and sorrows to God in prayer. For we can depend on him and follow his mighty way.
That is the best way to live our Christian life. Give all glory to God and respect him as creator of all. What ever we do, do it for the glory of God. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Dear Lord !
Please be our guiding light. Help us to give up our inner-selves so you will be our only way. Help us grow stronger and
pure in you and let your glory shine through us to others.
in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
